Just when I think I'm getting the hang of it..... : /

FC = 2.0
PH= 8.0 ( One drop of acid takes me to 7.6 )
TA = 90
CH = 170 ( Added 5LB last night, will add another 5lb tonight)
CYA = 60
CC= 0

I think I'm getting closer, but I went over on my CYA.

Any advice please ???

Thank you....

Mike.

60 CYA isn't terrible, especially if you're in a fairly sunny spot.

Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart

With a CYA of 60, we need to get your chlorine up over the minimum of 5 ASAP, 2 is too low. Your target should be 9 when you're doing your daily chlorine dose.

After letting that chlorine mix in for a half hour or so, you'll need to add enough muriatic acid to get the pH down to either 7.8 or 7.6. You can play with those two numbers over the next few weeks and see if the pool needs to go to 7.6 or if it can hold 7.8 for a long enough time that you don't feel like you're adding acid too frequently (too frequently being when you say to yourself "darn, I have to add acid again!?!?!).
