I have a new concret deck with travisten copeing . I would like to seal this before we put the water in. Any ideals? Everything I have looked at said not for pool decks.
You will want to use a sealant specifically made for pool decks. I am not familiar enough with the brands to have a best recommendation, but I did some research and found a few options. I will send you more info via PM.
I am certainly not an authoritative source but I have seen plain concrete sealed with less than satisfactory results. It took the seal very unevenly and was blotchy looking. I personally would suggest not sealing it.
The travertine might do well but I believe it also functions just fine unsealed.
I would leave the plain white concrete unsealed. I would have some concern about the travertine around a salt pool. I would suggest a penetrating sealer made for this purpose, such as in the links below.
