I recently upgraded to a variable speed pump, and need to upgrade my Pentair CP-3600 control system.
It looks like I can go with a Compool/EasyTouch upgrade, which is reasonable cost and I can do it myself: exchange the left side of the outdoor panel and replace the indoor control unit. One downside is the indoor control has a different footprint and we have wallpaper.
I see Jandy also has an upgrade option for the CP-3600. It looks to be fairly straightforward as well, but is more expensive. It does have a plastic cover to cover the old hole from the indoor control panel.
I am happy with the functionality of the CP-3600; we use 7 zones/items/functions. It would be nice to use an iPhone/Touch as a remote, but I don't need a dedicated wireless remote.
Anyone have experience with either upgrade? Facts I should consider?
