First off awesome forum!!!
I have read in the forum that the bigger the filter and smaller the pump, the better. I have a small 12 foot round intex pool 1500 gals. It came with a 500 gph pump that I got rid off and now have a 1000 gph intex pump with filter. I also scored a 250 pound Jacuzzi sand filter off a friend. My question is can I remove the filter from the intex pump and hook the pump up to the sand filter? Will the little intex pump have enough umf to work in this set up? Also will it effect the flow rate as I do have an intex salt water clorinator that requires a certain flow rate? Thanks for any help in advance.
