Did I get the wrong filter?

The dealer that sold me my kit sent a Hayward sand filter with a 1.5 inch hose connection but the rest of my piping and equipment including heater is all 2 inch.

Is this normal? Do I get some sort of reducer?? Help!!

Wrong filter is a maybe. If you have a 1 HP or less pump, you'll be OK. A 1.5 HP pump is pushing it but will work but will push a bit more water than I like on a new system.

Lowes will have 1.5" to 2" male adapters that threat into the MPV.
