Our salt water generator (turbo cell / tcell-15) died. We've been adding liquid chlorine to the pool, which works fine at the moment. Is this a safe thing to do for the rest of the system? The whole system is hayward/aqua-rite. Thanks.

YES.. perfectly fine.. just make sure to pour slowly in front on the return with the pump on...
Yup. It's the same thing a salt cell makes at a different scale. Bump up the FC to 8-10% of the stabilizer level. Use the Pool Calculator to determine the correct amount.
