Re: First test results - first time pool owner, advice pleas
Hi again,
So we are leaving for vacation in 3 days, will be gone for one week...since my levels are still not ideal, I'm not sure what I should be doing as far as my vacation plan goes.
Here's what I'm thinking:
*bring to shock level - which according to pool school chart is 24 IF my CYA was at 60, which it's not, it's about 35-40. Should I follow the chart for a non-SWG and bring shock level to 16?
*We have our filter on a timer, run 8 hours/day
*Put cover on pool
*cross fingers
Todays levels:
FC .5
TA 160
CYA 35-40
pH 7.2
I'm going to add some bleach, please if I need to follow a different plan can you tell me? I'm feeling overwhelmed from all this pool chemistry, next year I need a professional I think!
