Hi everyone, I just bought my first house and it has a pool!

You'll find me over in the "Just getting started" area posting about a few of my problems.. But here are some pictures! Had just opened it a few days ago and boy was it dirty. Took 2 wheelbarrows of leaves out of it with the net thing. 5 lbs of calcium chloride and a quart of liquid algecide got it pretty clear.

A couple tiny leaks on the multiport, but barely fill a tupperware after 3 days of continuous running so I'm not in a hurry to replace anything. (The PVC fittings are cracking). DE Filter.

One of the things I like is that the backwash and rinse ports are wayy down here plumed underground. When I was growwing up we had to run this flappy hose across the yard to do that.

Welcome to the forum

I know you didn't ask, but you have more clearing to do. Your pool can sparkle if you will keep reading Pool School on the forum and use chlorine as your primary source to kill the remaining algae and bacteria.
