hi all , the manual doesn't show the adjustment procedures . can anyone help?? also the tech support folks say they don't use the temp rise method for setting up heaters as i have always done ....this h250 only has a 4* rise that is a waste of gas , in my opinion.......any advice?????? Thanks , Jack

Welcome to TFP!

The bypass should not need adjusting, they either work or they don't work.

Heaters are most efficient when the flow rate is very high and temperature gain is very low. Higher temperature gains means lower heat transfer efficiency. Now, in practice, you can only get the flow rate so high before you risk damaging the heat exchanger, so it is a balancing act between higher flow to improve efficiency and lower flow to protect the heat exchanger.
