How do I know if my sand needs replacement? My pressure is usually at 21-22, I'm having an algae problem. And high levels of Chlorine are not helping. The sand is about 6 yrs old.
High levels of chlorine will cure an algae issue and changing sand will have no effect. Read the ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry up in Pool School and ask lots of questions. We'll help you get the pool clear and you won't need to change the sand.
