We are building a pool in the Texas hill country and I am thinking that it would be nice to heat the pool. I will have a 400btu Raypac LP heater for the spa, but we are on delivered propane and as you can image it is very expensive. So I am thinking about putting in a heat pump, but I am limited to 45 amps, any more then that I would have to pull another line from the street which I was quoted $3500 which we just can't afford right now.
From the brochure it looks like the max run amps for the Hayward 140btu is 30 amps Vs the Raypac which is 34.
Problem is I have not read anything good about Hayward as a company and I can't find anything on there heat pump. Any information would be great. Thanks.
