I need a new pump for a 21 foot round ag pool. I was looking at the Hayward SP1592 Power-Flo Matrix Above-Ground Pump 1-Horse Power. The pool came with 1 1/2 HP pump which has been wasting money. Does anybody know anything about this pump or should I look at a two speed or variable speed pump for more energy efficiency?

If you can afford a two speed, it will save you money on your electric bill. If you are on a budget like I was, Amazon.com has a 1HP Hayward for $129 with free shipping. You're not going to beat that deal!
