Does liquid chlorine add salt?

If I manually shock my pool with liquid chlorine (the bottle says sodium *something* (hypochlorite?) on it) will this raise my salt level as well. I'm assuming yes, since it's 'sodium', but just wanted to make sure.

Adding any form of chlorine adds salt. There are many threads about this including this one: bleach-adds-salt-t6836.html

The amount of salt that is added is usually irrelevant and can be ignored.
