I have a Hayward S244T sand filter and am seeing some sand back in the pool. In the spring, I noticed a small crack on the SP 714 vari-flo control valve. I figured if I was still getting good flow and didn't see any sand, I was in good shape. Now I'm seeing some sand in the pool but can anyone confirm if a crack in the below location would cause sand in the pool-- or if I should be looking at a broken "finger" or spoke gasket?
