No need. It will do it itself. It has a flow switch that senses when enough water is passing. In B/W, there is no return flow so these is no cell power. Same for Rinse mode.
That is actually handy because it gives you an excuse to test the flow switch. Flow switches can fail, so it is nice to have a situation come up regularly where you can see that the flow switch is still working.
