I went on vacation for a week and came back to a dark green pool. I have been keeping SLAM levels since 7/22. I have brushed the sides and vacuumed a few times. I cannot see to the bottom and the pool has gone from a dark green to a light green, but still green nearly 2 weeks later.
I went to the pool store to check myself on Taylor readings and if nothing else I think their CYA reading is high. I checked it again this morning and looks likely sub 30 ppm. I added their recommended polyquat 60 and switched from filter to “circulation” setting on the sand filter because I was feeling desperate and haven’t noticed any difference. I also made the mistake of checking pH while SLAMming and noticed pH going up so have added pH lowering chemicals several times to get back down to 7.2 or lower.
I’ve attached pictures and access to my pool log on. Any feedback? What am I doing wrong?
