2 defective Coleman/Bestway inflatable spas in a row??

Picked up a Coleman Havana hot tub a month ago. Ordered through Walmart. Set it up as per videos and online manual. 5 minutes inflation. After a couple weeks the top white section got wider/swollen overall, making the inner (usable) diameter of the hot tub smaller. It got lumpy/bumpy/uneven around the top. I keep the lid on when not in use and I even lay a light tarp across it to further protect the cover from uv deterioration. So I returned it and got another. It looked perfect, but after a couple weeks it's starting to do the exact same thing! Old one was made in 9/19. New one was made 3/20. I haven't found any other complaints about this issue. Has anyone ever seen such an issue before? Wondering if Intex brand would do the same.

Not sure what may be causing the problem, but it sounds like a defect in material. Have you reached out to the manufacturer?

Not yet. I was scouring web sites, etc looking for similar issues. Strange no one else has reported it and my two hot tubs were made 6 months apart but have same defect.

That's either defect or overinflation. How is the pressure regulated on the Coleman spas? For the Intex, they used to have a pressure gauge, but swapped that out on newer models for a plug with a pressure relief valve that automatically bleeds off air if it's over-inflated.
