In 5 years of running copper/silver ioniser and MPS, I have only ever shocked on opening after winter. But you didn't want to know that :lol:

OK, I plead guilty. :!:
I shocked the pool was in mid-March/2010 (pool opening, lots of gunk went thru the safety cover)...
The last time before that was late October/2009 (pool closing)...
The time before that was May/2009 of last year when we lost power over a weekend.
