I moved to South Carolina from Southern California about 16 months ago. I had a gunite pool in California for about 13 years so I am no stranger to owning a pool. But I had a gas heater in California. I recently had a liner pool and spa installed in South Carolina with an electric Hayward HP21404T (140,000 BTU) heater. I have been getting a trouble code LP. I don't get the code all of the time. Just every so often. I have been told the most common cause for this is because the outside temp is below 52 degrees and the Freon will not heat up enough to create enough pressure for the unit to run. The second reason would be the Freon level is low and the third reason is a bad main board. My heater has worked great is temps below 52 and sometimes not at all in temps below 52. Please help.
