I have a new custom spa (separate from pool) with Pentair Intellitouch and a 400k btu gas heater. Everything works fine however when the pumps kick into freeze mode, the heater shuts off. My pool co tells me this is normal and nothing can be done. Maybe I’m crazy, but I like to use the spa well below freezing - can it be possible that this can’t be used below freezing? Seems counterintuitive to me that you’d want to kill the heater in freeze mode? Wondering if there is an easy way to just bypass this for a set period of time? Thanks in advance!
