Is there a resource that explains the chemical reactions for pool care?
1) Is there anything left in the water after chlorine is "used up" or evaporated?
2) Raising or lowering Ph, Baking Soda or Acid, are they truly gone once the reaction finishes?
3) With test kit, what does the powder do and why do the drops make the color go away?
4) Why is the PH test one reagent, but CH and TA multiple?
5) What is a tangible chemical we add (calcium?) or what is a consumable (acid?)
I'm not a chemist but I do enjoy learning how things work.
Thanks,
