Searching on here and online I only see 16x28 listed for oval and free form pools. Is there any reason a gunite geometrical pool couldn’t be this size? Is it just that rectangular 2:1 ratios look better optically?

mouth house is 34 feet wide so we don’t want to go longer than 28’ and leave 3’ of pavers on each side and under the screen enclosure. However, we can go wider than the 14’ which could allow for a slightly larger pool.

No reason at all you cant have 16x28. Folks often like longer pools to allow for swimming laps, but we've seen lots of cool smaller shaped pools. The small pool opens up more creativity sometimes.

Thanks! Yeah trying to think about how to maximize pool size, decking, etc
Since we are capped length wise figure can possibly extend screen out a bit wider. Have to inquire about wind risks being we are in the land of tropical storms and hurricanes.
