Wire Size

I suggest #10 wire at the minimum.
< 3% voltage drop at 14 amp draw from the motor.

#12 would give you a VD of around 5%

There is variables:
True RMS voltage, Actual amp draw from the motor nameplate and true length

Just my two cents.
If you pulled #12 would it work. Short answer yes.
If you pulled #10 would it work. Yes and be more efficient for the motor and possible the motor may last longer.
 
Just a heads up the pump is wired and is working fine. I ended up using 10 gauge wire and I wanted to wait to post after my inspection but for whatever the reason I have been waiting for a week come Monday. I almost over looked my red caution tape but I have that on display too. It was probably more work than I expected but... Particularly the trenching. A big thank you to everyone who helped me, THANK YOU!
