    Hello from VA, also!

Wanted to introduce myself. John from SE VA. Decided a couple of weeks ago to get a pool and this website has changed my life. I looked at a neighbors pool that was just purchased and installed by the same local company I was looking to buy from. TERRIBLE installation ! Owner said bottom was bumpy and it took them 3 hours for a 24' round! Not buying from them. (I even got two different quotes from the same company for the same pool but from two different guys that were $1000 apart! )

Anyway, still looking but thinking of doing install myself . Have seen tons on info. Never thought I would but I going to look into it and keep my options open. It is amazing about what you guys say about the pool stores. They all want to sell this big pump and little filter and tons of fancy chemicals. Any way, thanks for the help and once I get it in I will post.

You will find folks here that have done their own installs, even some ingrounds, so there are people to help you along the way!
