Help me diagnose my pool

How much liquid bleach should I be using? I think they have 10% strength. Are we talking about gallons per week or what?

I am using just about 1 gallon of 6% a day now, which is 2.5 ppm in my pool. Houston, TX.

During this severely hot summer, I have been using about 1 quart of 12% every other day.

You should be able to find 12% somewhere near you. It's made in Eloy and there are many dealers of Hasa products. Here is a link to dealers in Arizona. You may want to call the ones in the east valley to see if they carry the 12%.

Just an FYI, B&L Pool Supply sells it for $12.99 with tax for a 4 gallon pack. They may not be near enough to you but it gives you something for a price comparison.
