Yes, you can upload pics. The old thread you were looking at before has posts linked to a 3rd party web site (Photobucket) and the rules to those sites have changed disabling the photos. TFP members can upload a limited amount of pictures to posts. If a member choses to be a TFP Supporter (link above), they'll find they have an extensive amount of storage space on the site to upload many pics related to their pool.
