Getting fiberglass pool and trying to figure out what is the best water depth to put a basketball hoop. the pool goes from 3 foot to 6 foot deep at deep end. My son and I are both 6'4" so don't want too far in shallow end, but don't want to be treading water all the time either. What is standard depth of water? Whats your recommended for tall people? is 4.5 to 5 foot too deep or shallow???
What water depth would be best for our basketball hoop for tall family :)

The standard is about 3.5 feet. I'm tall as well and find this way too shallow. 5 feet is going to be way too deep for "normies" though, so consider that if you want other people to participate.

I presume you are looking at a fixed position hoop? Portable ones aren’t as sleek but are more flexible regarding placement. We have a portable one which you can see in our build thread in my signature.
