I had a bad algae problem in 30k plaster pool. Water was starting to get green but mostly on floor and sides.
Drained half my pool, and starting numbers after refill
ph 7.5
cya 40
calcium 750
I slammed and got FC to 16 and keeping there by twice a day Check along with one backwash and one filter clean
after two days with initial scrubbing pool looked like it was getting better.
But since then then there is still about 10% of the original algae on the walls and floor in spots and streaks. I’ve tried scrubbing down with a steel brush but does not think it helps. The FC checks now show very little 12 hr loss. In 24 hrs goes from 16 down to 12. CC are still positive but improving
wouldn’t a scrub expose this algae to the chlorine and end up all dead in 1-2 days?
’ive also been running my m400 pool robot to see if a little bit more scrubbing would help but to no avail.
Filter has been run 24/7
thanka for your help. BTW increased FC to 20 thinking I may have gotten CYA reading wrong
I use tf-100 kit
