Iron staining tile grout.

Hello - first post.
Our pool is filled from a deep well [200feet] No problems for 15 years - until now. The water has stained all the grout between the white tiles on the pool floor - rust red. The grout was white. Our pool floor is about 50 square yards of half inch square white tiles - now all completely framed in red grout!
Local pool shop says that it is iron from the well. We will fit a filter. BUT - how do we get the stains off?
We have bought an expensive cleaner for rust. Poured it on neat. Left for 15 mins. Scrubbed. Washed with water. No chamge. After doing this four times there is a change and 80% of the stain has gone from about 2 square yards of a pool that is 50 square yards! We have used 2 litres of the 5 litres of cleaner at about $30 or $6 per litre.
Can anyone recommend an easier way to remove the rust stain? Hopefully with a less expensive product!
Thanks in advance.
