Any ideas on why this is happening and what we should do to fix it? Everything is level. There's only about 10 inches of water and the wall is bending just at the skimmer opening. Everything else looks perfect.
I think someone just went thru something similar to this. With 10" of water in the pool is the liner tight to the walls or is it still pulled away from the walls?
You have a beaded liner that is not very forgiving and will not stretch easy. The wall of the pool isn't strong enough to support the stretching of the liner. Long story short from what I recall was you are faced with two less than great options. Both mean taking the water out and redoing the liner.
Option 1 was to remove the liner and add more sand under the liner and make the coving bigger so the liner won't have to stretch to sit tight on the wall.
Option 2 was to scrap the beaded liner and use an overlap liner.
Hopefully somebody else will come along with a better solution.
I forgot to say welcome to TFP, I'm sorry your first post is about a big problem. The post I linked to has a lot of good steps to follow to try and fix your problem.
I just wanted to say thanks for responding and the welcome. ☺ I'm not really new to TFP but it's been a while since I've done anything other than use the pool calculator.
Also, my husband was able to fix the wall. It wasn't as bad as I originally thought it was. Pool is full and pump seems to be operating ok. I am new to the bigger sand filter and 1hp pump, as well as the better test kit. I'm sure I'll have more questions and am so glad I have y'all to help. ?
