Salt Quality

Anyone have experience with this salt? I keep seeing mixed reviews on Morton salt. is it that bad? It is over half the price as the other places in town.

Hi there.
Here's a link to Morton variations in salt. Morton Salt differences.

The menards bag mSDS shows its basically rock salt with 1% impurities. While that doesn't sound like much, if the 1% is iron, it can Mae a difference.

Other grades of slt are .2% impurities...so for a first-time startup I might consider the higher purity...and for a top up, less critical.

Those are just my thoughs based on kind of a constant watch on the stain/iron front
