I replaced the pump strainer housing, but didn't buy a new lid. My old lid won't fit. According to Hayward, there is only one cover (lid). It's SPX1600 D. My old lid is SP 1600-D. The X is not in the part number. Do I need a new one? The old one is too tight.

It looks like most website show the X version. However I did find one advertised as the SP1600D here:
https://www.poolpartsonline.com/p-32-hayward-super-pump-sp1600x-series-parts.aspx But when you look at the SKU, it shows the X.
Seems like that's the new version being used.
