3-wire Heater Control

I have a Jandy JXi heater and want to hook up a simple remote control scheme rather than spend a grand or so with a complete iAqualink system. The heater has a connection called hi-lo-com which I think is also used by Hayward. I think it is looking for a relay closure from hi to com or lo to com to set the heat to spa or pool mode respectively. However, it could be looking for +24V or something else.

Does anyone know the details of this type of heater control?

The heater would be looking for 24V coming through to get it going using the remote connection.

Ah, thanks. So, since the common line has 24V, a relay closure from common to hi or lo should do it.
