What are these on bottom of my pool?

I have what appears to be a drain like the ones in my spa on the bottom of my pool in the deep end. I assume it's hooked up through my skimmer given what I've read.

In the shallow end and between the shallow and the deep end, I have three other "things" that I don't recognize. What are these and what do they do?

The deep end ones are main drains.

    The others are floor returns.

Thanks. So when my filter turns and it dumps into my spa and then spills over. So the "returns" also let water into the pool at the same time?

    Really appreciate your help.

Depends on how the valves are set. In spillover mode, all of the water can go to the spa or just some of the water with the rest going to the returns.

Thanks. I don't recall there being a valve that controls this but I'll look. Do you think they would have Plummed it without A valve meaning it always does both?

No, that is very unlikely. Without valves controlling suction and return lines you would not be able to isolate the spa to heat the spa water without also heating the pool water.

Re: What are these on bottom of my pool?

You were right. I found the valve that allows me to regulate one skimmer from the other.

    Thanks.

Now I will start a new post to ask for help regarding the issue I was trying to solve.
