Hello, i just joined the forum. We purchased a home in Dec 2016 with a pool.
The pool is in ground, 18,500 gallons with vinyl liner. It is approximately 9 years old. I think the pool stores are fleecing us because we don't have a clue. We purchased a Taylor K2006 test kit so we can learn to test and get true results. We opened the pool in early April and have been battling Mustard Algae since. To explain why i cannot brush the stubborn brownish/yellowish stuff from the deep end walls- The guy that opened the pool said that the algae is impreganated into the liner , another company said there is fungus behind the liner that shows through the liner. I look forward to receiving your expert opinions and advice. Thank you
