New in ground pool build Central Florida

Been lurking on this site since August to get ideas for a pool build. Decided to pull the trigger and the pool builder will be digging tomorrow. Decided to go with a basic pool, 14 by 30 with a 6x8 Sun Shelf. Feel like that was the hardest part choosing what is on was the size. hoping it's not too big and not too small. I guess I'll find out soon. And there's also the budget. Not looking to spend too much but still build something the family can enjoy.

Pool will have sun shelf and a bench in the deep end. 2 bubblers on the sun shelf 2 LED lights with remote, interior finish will be Diamond Brite, concrete deck with acrylic, 1 horsepower Sta-Rite pump and Sta-Rite filter, Pentair ic40 salt machine. $26000

In general the light placement is excellent. However, the shelf will receive limited light and be noticeably darker. Do your bubblers happen to be lighted bubblers? That would solve that issue.

I like the deep-end bench!

Is your pump a single speed or two-speed? Two-speed is HIGHLY recommended for electricity savings AND noise reduction. They move about 1/2 the water for 1/4 the electricity. Your bubblers may need high to work to your liking but the bubblers will likely only be on a minority of the time the water is circulating. Variable speed is generally only recommended for water features and/or high electricity rates.

Pool dig happened today here are the pics. Also we are not having a pool cage installed. And bubblers are not lit figured the Sun Shelf wood be a little dark without a light but gonna roll the dice. Those Pentair lit bubblers are nice but have quite the price tag. PB is doing Steel Wednesday maybe I'll see if the unit he is using can run a 3rd small light in the Shelf.

Let the MUD begin! LOL It has only began!

Now go out with a tape measure. Add about 6 inches for gunite and plaster. Is it long, wide, deep, etc enough? The REAL measurement will come with the steel but you can head off any major problems if you do a measurement now to make sure it is in the ball park of what you asked for.

Had to work last couple days was unable to post but during that time the pool builder was able to place the shell plumbing and electrical. We also chose a waterline tile

Wow, Love your pool shape. Thinking of doing the same in Orlando. What pool builder did you use? Any finished pics?
