Greetings all - my first post
. It will be long winded - sorry - but want to get all of my question out there.
We moved into a that was built in 2004 and are now proud owners of a 30k gallon pool and a ?gallon hot tub (going to figure that out soon). Now, I get to learn all about how to maintain both. Luckily I found this website - it has provided a huge amount of information. Thank you!
I seem to be having a hard time finding any information regarding maintenance for the hot tub (outside of the chemical side).
The hot tub was pretty nasty when we moved in, so I hired a professional to come get it back into condition. He flushed it with chlorine, replaced the pump and blower, replaced the cover, and corrected some leaks in the plumbing.
Since then, I've used it (and love it) - BUT - only one seat has jets strong enough to give a good massage.
Last night I flushed the spa with Ahh-Some and drained it. I pulled out all of the jets (why not - how else will I learn about it) and ran water through them while moving them around to loosen them up.
So, my actual question... should I do anything to these jets before I put them back in? Silicone on the O-rings? Anything else?
From what I can find so far, I have WaterWay Jets in three sizes - adjustable cluster jets (217-0510), poly jets (218-6010), and one Dual/Quad Flo swim jet (not sure of the part number - 212-4517 maybe).
I didn't know that the smallest ones (cluster jets) were adjustable until I pulled them out the first time. So, after cleaning them out, I notice that they move more freely. Despite my Google prowess
, I cannot seem to find anything regarding maintenance of these jets.
Input?
