Could this bulging part be the cause of my low amps-cell? Message. If so is it hard to replace?

Potentially. It is a capacitor. It will have two leads soldered to the circuit board. Very common part.

After reading this thread I fixed my pool pilot which was giving me a clean/check cell error because of 4 bad capacitors. Thank you all for the great information everyone, my system is back up and running great!

Here's the part number of the capacitors I ordered from digikey.

So I ordered these capacitors

However there's a couple of brown/black capacitors that are bulging and leaking too. Are these the same capacitors? Or are they a different part number?

Geraldg -- Welcome to TFP.

Those should be the correct units. Look on the old and new ones to make sure the values match, just to be safe.

Awesome! Swapped those capacitors and everything seems to be working fine now. Only if I had found this post before the summer, would have saved me some cash and headaches =) Thanks!

So I have one issue. When I put everything back together I couldn't find where one of the connections for the fan assembly was previously connected. I know the 3 prong plug goes to the control board but I can't recall where the two prong connection goes.

Can someone help me out here please?

It goes to the top right side of the Power Module, right by where the multi-strand wire harness plugs onto the Power Module.
