FC = .5
CC = 0
TC = >.5
pH = 7.6
TA = 200
CH = 175
CYA = 30
According to what I have read I should lower my pH to 7.0-7.2 in order to lower my TA... is this correct??? It went from 8.0 to 7.6 overnight after adding one quart of muriatic acid. The pool calculator suggests adding 79 ounces to get it down to 7.2. I will be gone all day so the pH should be down once I get back home. My pH has always run high in the past. I usually go through a LOT of acid just trying to keep the pH down. Is this normal???
With a high TA is is normal. After you are done shocking, you can work on lowering your TA.
The water is not "crystal clear" but it looks really good.
That's great!
Once I lower the pH then I will put in more bleach... correct???
Yep. Go back to shock level and do the Overnight Test
The CYA is barely 30 (on the low side). Should I add more stabilizer???
I suggest you wait til you are done shocking and then add to reach 40 or 50, if your pool is in full sun.
