I think I have an algae stain in the pool. It won't brush off but I tried throwing a chlorine tablet on top of and it started to lighten disappear a little. The pool was a swamp after we came back from vacation. I got it so it's no longer green but the pool is still a little cloudy slowly clearing that. And there are browny/green mostly brown tint stains on the bottom and side of pool. Any advice on how to get rid of the stains? Can't just leave tablets on the stain cause that would take forever.

Your stains have to be identified before they can be removed. Do you know how the stains got there? How long ago?
