I took it upon myself to get my in-laws pool regulated and in order. Thanks to TFP...cloudy yucky murky baquicil water is out, crystal clear swimming paradise emerge!
I'm in the final stages with the pump still recirculating, and will be there today to swap the sand out with fresh media. I've searched and read but cannot seem to find a thread; what kind of sand do I buy? I know they currently have "play sand" from a Home Depot or lowes inside. Is that legit? I can only imagine there are different levels of ppm granules. No? I just don't wanna be standing in the store scratching my head is all.

Awe heck...I just remembered I have a picture of the filter on my phone. I just looked at it and zoomed in to see, .45-.55mm silica sand.
Sorry for wasted bandwidth. Mods remove if need be.
