Well, thank you all for your time and advice. On our way to see the home 1 more time before we put in an offer. The house was grabbed out from under us without warning.

Sorry to hear about that. I lost a chance at my dream home when my agent didn't communicate my offer quickly enough and let it sit over the weekend. Save up your pennies and build a shiny new pool correctly. These old pools always have warts on them.

I can tell you this, the canister filter container you have is the same one I had as its prone to having lid pop off and decapitate a person, all repair parts are pulled off the market so you'll need to replace that at minimum.
