My pool chlorinator is out of service and I am awaiting replacement parts. Until they arrive, how much powdered sodium chloride should I add weekly to maintain a good chorine level?

I have a 20,000 Gal vinyl pool in North Florida where we have been in the low 90's daily.

appreciate any assistance.

Sodium chloride is not a sanitizer. Your SWG uses sodium chloride to produce chlorine by splitting the molecule apart to form chlorine and sodium ions. Without your SWG, NaCl does nothing for sanitation in your pool just like it does nothing for sanitation in the ocean.

While your SWG is out, you should use liquid chlorine (aka bleach) to maintain your FC levels. How much FC you need to maintain depends on your current CYA level. See the Chlorine/CYA chart in my signature.
