Low suction vacuum

Hi all! New to site and new to pool ownership. I have chemicals all set and water is very clear. Only problem is that now you can see the crud at the bottom from when the chemicals were not in check and some algae had grown. It will not suck up with such a low powered suction. Any suggestions on amping up the suction. By the way, I've scrubbed the sides and bottom numerous times...
