18 x 48 Sand filter upgrade??

Hi everybody,

We just bought an 18 x 48 Summer Waves Elite pool, looking around on the forum I see that most people have upgraded or suggest upgrading to a sand filter straight out of the gate. My question is, which one to buy, I'm seeing a 2800GPH and a 3000GPH Intex models, for about 20.00 difference on amazon, is bigger better, or over kill?
