Two weeks ago I opened my pool only to find a green swamp.
FC 0
CYA 0
pH 6.8
TA 20
Salt 1800
Added pH Up to get to 7.5 and stabilizer (ended up at 100). Started adding bleach to get to FC 39 and maintained for 10 days. After 25 jugs of bleach I finally got the cc to .5 and passed 3 successive OCLT's. After all the fills, back flushing, and a boat load of rain, my cya and salt levels dropped. Water is blue but cloudy. Added 200 lbs of salt to get the levels up. Also adding de to skimmer to filter out the fines causing cloudy water.
New numbers
FC 29
CC 0
CYA 80
pH 7.2
TA 70
CH 100
Salt 2900
Temp 66
Letting nature take its course to bring the FC down to normal levels and aeration bring the pH up.
Now we just need Mother Nature's help in getting the temp up to something that is swimmable (I am not a member of the Polar Bear Club).
