Chlorine levels seem wrong

It was green but I slammed it and it was crystal clear in 3 days. That was the first of May. It was cloudy one evening then Green the next morning. Pump seems okay. My husband took everything apart to make sure there is nothing in the pump and it looks good. Are pressure gauge isn't working, but I've been back washing each day.

I have tried very hard to put a picture on here but it seems impossible.

The fact I can't upload a picture to a website is probably a good indication that I do not need to be trying to figure out how to handle chemicals in a swimming pool

This made me LOL. I feel the same way very often.

Okay lets do another picture please. Carefully take a picture looking down into the pool. Make sure there is a brush or something we can use as a depth gauge to see how far down and how clearly we can see it.

Put some of the pool water in something clear and see what it looks like against a white background. I am not sure what I am looking for but want to make sure we know what you are dealing with.

Have you taken your sand filter apart to see how the sand is looking?

How often are you testing your FC and putting in the FC?

I hate that this is more questions than answer but........
