So I had an issue with massive ph swings; posted elsewhere here.
Anyway, I decided to give boric acid a try. So I balanced the water to about 50-60ppm TA, and ph 7.6 or so. I then added 16oz of boric acid (550gallon spa). Let it go for a few days. The ph has been rock solid ever since. Hasn't budged at all. 7.4 every time I check even after an hour of use with all jets and air, highest I got was 7.6 after use
The TA however is reading super low on 3 different brands of test strips. With my Taylor drop test kit k-2006, it reads 60ppm. So how is it that the drop test is reading fine but 3 totally different brand strips tell me it's less than 40?
Just tying to get a handle on this thing.
Thanks!
