    Fiberglass stained by suncreens?

The shell is going in today...woot!
as I watched it being lowered and fantasized about splashing around in it with family and friends...
a memory flashed back to me of how when I was on this lovely fiberglass yacht, the finish was stained by a certain sunscreen....
I had not asked this question of the dealer....
do I need to be concerned about some sunscreen ingredients getting on the fiberglass?
Think we will be in it- this time next week.
    Regards,
    Martha in Texas

I have never seen a fiberglass pool stained by sunscreen but that does not mean it can't happen. A lot will depend on the gelcoat used.

Glad that pool gel coats appear to be more durable than sailboats!
Texas has been in a drought for at least a few years...so now that we are installing our pool...the heavens have opened and it has been raining for a week!!!
Muddy mess around the shell in the ground- ready for concrete work.
Though I am glad for the rain, the timing is pretty bad.
I'll keep an eye on the finish and sun screen contact with it.
    Regards,
