First time pool closing and all I want to close is the waterfall. Do I hookup the air compressor to the pump and turn off all lines but the waterfall? I have 2 drain plugs on the Jandy FHPM pump. Does it matter which one I use?
Why only close the waterfall and not the whole pool?
Yes, you can hookup an air compressor to the pump and shut down all the lines (Do not over pressurize the system). Please make sure your filter is on the "recirculate position". You have to isolate the waterfall so only air is pushed through the plumbing for the waterfall.
I highly recommend closing the pool. Personally, I would not feel comfortable with any sensor, as they could go bad. Already this weekend, we are heading into the 30's, but not necessarily extended freezing temperatures.
